Piano lessons in Sunset Ridge,

My Approach
Keeping my piano studio relatively small (25 to 30 students) allows me to give each student the attention and energy that they deserve. I enjoy creating a program of study for each student that they will be excited about.

Although there are a few piano method books that I favour, the decision as to which program of study a particular student will follow is determined by their age, background, and the approach that I think will be the most suitable for the student. No method is complete, however, so I always supplement the repertoire with pieces from my library to add variety and fill any holes in the methods.

Students have the opportunity to play in a recital for family twice a year. Recitals provide a goal for the students, and it's a valuable experience to try to master some songs and then share them with others. Some students enjoy preparing for examinations with the Royal Conservatory of Music, although this is not a requirement.
And my teaching is not limited to children! Anyone can learn to play the piano well, no matter what their age.
